WOMAN SERIOUSLY HURT IN ELECTRIC SCOOTER ACCIDENT ON CASS STREET AT 49TH STREET IN OMAHA
Omaha, Nebraska (September 16, 2019) – A 22-year-old woman was seriously injured in a scooter accident Sunday afternoon in Omaha, according to a local news source.
The accident happened on Sunday, September 15, in the area of Cass Street and 49th Street.
According to police, witnesses said the woman was riding an electric scooter westbound on Cass Street when she ran a stop sign and crashed into a Tesla sedan which was heading southbound on 49th Street.
The woman was taken to Nebraska Medicine with serious injuries.
Investigators said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
