WOMAN KILLED, MAN CRITICALLY INJURED IN CAR CRASH AT COUNTY ROADS 19 AND Q IN FREMONT

Fremont, Nebraska (September 6, 2019) – A 44-year-old woman was killed, and a 23-year-old man was critically injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic collision at a Fremont intersection, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash occurred around 4:08 p.m. September 3, in the area of County Roads 19 and Q.

According to a preliminary investigation, the man was driving a 2000 GMC tilt cab truck southbound when he collided with a 2019 Mack tractor-trailer which was eastbound on County Road Q.

Both the man and his female passenger had to be extricated. They were both wearing seatbelts.

The passenger was killed in the crash.

The man was airlifted to Nebraska Medicine Hospital in Omaha in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
