WOMAN KILLED IN CRASH WITH BOX TRUCK AT B AND OAK STREETS IN NORTH PLATTE

North Platte, Nebraska (October 8, 2019) – A 65-year-old woman was killed in a traffic collision involving a box truck Monday morning in North Platte, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened on Monday, October 7, at the intersection of B & Oak Streets.

Police said the woman was driving her car eastbound on B Street, approaching the intersection while a box truck was stopped facing northbound at the intersection. The truck driver failed to yield to the car while entering the intersection, and the car struck the driver's side front of the truck.

The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.

The box truck was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
