Two Motorcyclists Injured in Crash on Webster Boulevard near Plattsmouth

Plattsmouth, Nebraska (October 15, 2019) – Two men were injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon near Plattsmouth, a local news source reported.

The crash was reported around 2:37 p.m. on October 14, in the area of Webster Boulevard and U.S. Highway 34/75.

Deputies said a 49-year-old man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Webster Boulevard when he slowed to turn northbound onto Highway 75. A Honda motorcycle ridden by a 43-year-old man was also heading westbound when it failed to slow down and hit the other motorcycle.

The Harley Davidson rider was taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha with leg and back injuries.

The other motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with possible head injuries.

Both riders were wearing state-approved helmets at the time of the crash.

An investigation is underway.
