THOMAS SMITH III HIT, KILLED BY VEHICLE AT 67TH AND L STREETS IN OMAHA

Omaha, Nebraska (October 19, 2019) – A 45-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon in a pedestrian accident in Omaha, according to the police.

The accident took place on Friday, October 18, in the area of 67th and L Streets.

Police said Thomas Smith III was crossing the street in a crosswalk and had the right of way when he was hit by a vehicle that had run a red light.

Smith was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

The driver, Anthony Potter, 18, was cited with misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide.

An investigation is ongoing.
