MAN KILLED IN TWO-VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 6 IN GRETNA

Gretna, Nebraska (September 14, 2019) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Gretna, according to the officials.

The fatal crash occurred on Friday, September 13, on Highway 6 west of Highway 31.

Officials said a driver came over the top of the hill, noticed the traffic a little too late, braked, crossed the center line, and crashed head-on into another vehicle.

One of the drivers, a man in his mid-40s, was airlifted to Nebraska Medicine where he was pronounced dead.

The other driver, a woman in her mid-20s was taken to a Bergan hospital with minor injuries.

The crash closed Highway 6 from Highway 31 to 220th Street.

The crash remains under investigation.
