EDWARD PRANGE HIT BY SEMI-TRUCK NEAR 15TH AND NICHOLAS STREETS IN OMAHA
Omaha, Nebraska (August 24, 2019) – A man was injured in a pedestrian accident Friday morning in Omaha, according to the police.
The accident was reported around 6:15 a.m. August 23, near the intersection of 15th and Nicholas streets.
According to the police, there are several empty grain trailers stored on the empty lot at the northeast corner of the intersection. A 2016 Freightliner semi hooked up to one of the empty trailers to take it and have it loaded with grain. As it pulled away from where it was parked, it hit Edward Prange, 41, of Omaha, who had been sleeping underneath it.
Prange was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the accident. He was taken to Nebraska Medicine for a head injury. He lost his ear in the crash.
The police are investigating the crash.
