DAVID HARDMAN, STEVEN PURSCELL SERIOUSLY INJURED IN THREE-VEHICLE CRASH NEAR 55TH AND CENTER STREETS IN OMAHA

Omaha, Nebraska (September 9, 2019) – Two men were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Omaha, according to a local news source.

The crash was reported around 7:00 p.m. September 7, near 55th and Center Street.

Authorities said David Hardman, 53, of Omaha, was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger eastbound on Center Street when he crossed the center median lane into oncoming traffic. He then hit a westbound 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser driven by Chloe Kuehner, 23, of Omaha. The Ford continued and hit a westbound 2012 Honda Accord driven by Steven Purscell, 49, of Omaha.

The impact ejected Hardman.

Hardman and Purscell were taken to Nebraska Medicine with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Hardman suffered injuries to his head, neck and back while Purscell suffered injuries to his head.

Kuehner was uninjured in the crash.

Officers said alcohol and lack of seat belt are factors in the crash

The crash remains under investigation.
