Breanna Lemke-Elznic Seriously Hurt in Electric Scooter Accident on Cass Street at 49th Street in Omaha
Omaha, Nebraska (September 16, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured in a scooter accident Sunday afternoon in Omaha, according to a local news source.
The accident happened on Sunday, September 15, in the area of Cass Street and 49th Street.
According to police, witnesses said Breanna Lemke-Elznic, 22, of Winside, was riding an electric scooter westbound on Cass Street when she ran a stop sign and crashed into a Tesla sedan which was heading southbound on 49th Street.
Lemke-Elznic was taken to Nebraska Medicine with serious injuries.
The sedan driver, James Boles, 50, was uninjured in the crash.
Investigators said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
