Bellevue Man Killed in Grain Elevator Accident at Interstate Commodities Inc. in Fremont
Fremont, Nebraska (September 24, 2019) – A Bellevue man was killed in a grain elevator accident on Sunday in Fremont, according to the authorities.
The accident was reported around 2:00 p.m. September 22, at Interstate Commodities, Inc.
Officials said the man was inside and he was trying to break some grain free. He was accompanied by a co-worker who walked away for a few minutes, and when he came back, he was missing.
Authorities were called to help with the search. It took them seven-and-a-half hours to find the victim.
The man was declared dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
