7-YEAR-OLD STRUCK BY VEHICLE ON EIGHTH AVENUE IN PLATTSMOUTH

Plattsmouth, Nebraska (August 24, 2019) – A 7-year-old was hit by a vehicle Friday afternoon in Plattsmouth, according to a Plattsmouth Police report.

The accident happened around 2:45 p.m. August 23, on Eighth Avenue, east of Plattsmouth Middle School.

Police said the child ran out into the street, not in a crosswalk, and was hit by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 16-year-old.

EMS responded to the scene and treated the child. They didn’t require any further medical treatment.

The driver wasn’t cited in the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
