3 INJURED IN FOUR-VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 275 IN STANTON

Jim Harris Sept. 8, 2019

Stanton, Nebraska (September 8, 2019) – Three people were injured in a four-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Stanton, a local news source reported.

The collision happened on Friday, September 6, on Highway 275 near the Humbug Bridge.

Authorities said an eastbound pickup truck was passing a piece of farm equipment when it encountered several vehicles which were stopped for a car turning left near the bridge.

The pickup driver lost control, sideswiped a westbound semi-trailer, and hit a cargo van. The impact caused the van to crash into a stopped pickup and into the bridge.

The van driver, the pickup driver and a passenger in the pickup were treated at the scene for their injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
