2 Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash near 55th and Center Street in Omaha
Omaha, Nebraska (September 8, 2019) – Two people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Omaha, according to a local news source.
The crash was reported around 7:00 p.m. September 7, near 55th and Center Street.
Authorities said a 2004 Ford Ranger was heading eastbound on Center Street when it crossed the center median lane into oncoming traffic and hit a westbound 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser. The Ford then hit a westbound 2012 Honda Accord.
The impact ejected Ford driver.
The Ford driver and the Honda driver were taken to Nebraska Medicine with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was uninjured in the crash.
Officers said alcohol and lack of seat belt are factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
