1 KILLED IN 2-VEHICLE CRASH AT HIGHWAY 12 AND THE 14A SPUR IN CEDAR COUNTY

Cedar County, Nebraska (September 13, 2019) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Cedar County, according to a local news source.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. September 12, at the intersection of Highway 12 and the 14A Spur.

Deputies said a man was driving a Ford Edge when he failed to yield to an eastbound Peterbilt semi-trailer, resulting in a collision.

The Ford driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck was taken to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota where he was treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
