1 INJURED IN THREE-CAR CRASH ON I-80 AND 108TH STREET IN OMAHA

Jim Harris Aug. 23, 2019

Omaha, Nebraska (August 23, 2019) – One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Omaha, according to the police.

The collision took place around 5:30 p.m. August 22, in the area of I-80 and 108th Street.

Police said a 2008 Dodge Caliber made an abrupt lane change and hit a 2004 GMC Envoy which was traveling in the lane next to it. The impact caused the Dodge to spin and hit a 2014 Freightliner semi.

The Omaha Fire Department took the Dodge driver to Bergan Mercy for treatment.

Officers said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

The two lanes of I-80 eastbound were closed for more than an hour after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
