admin_harrislaw

Platte County, Nebraska (October 26, 2019) – A woman and a juvenile were killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash at a Platte County intersection, a local news source reported.

The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. October 25, at an unmarked intersection near Monroe.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 43-year-old woman was driving southbound when she collided with a semi pulling a grain trailer at the intersection.

Both vehicles came to rest west of the intersection. The semi jackknifed in the southbound ditch, and the car came to rest in the northbound ditch.

The woman and her juvenile passenger were killed in the crash. They were both wearing seat belts. The front and side airbags were deployed.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The crash totaled both vehicles.

The NSP and the Platte County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.
