Grand Island, Nebraska (October 25, 2019) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a Union Pacific Railroad train Friday morning in Grand Island, a local news source reported.
The accident happened at about 10:29 a.m. at the Walnut Street crossing.
Police said a male pedestrian was hit by a Union Pacific Railroad train at the crossing.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed.
No other details regarding the accident were available.
An investigation is underway.
