Kearney County, Nebraska (September 7, 2019) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Kearney County, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened around 9:00 a.m. September 5, on Highway 6.

NSP said Luke Brown, 41, of Cozad, was driving a semi-truck westbound on the highway when he rear-ended a westbound tractor driven by Michael Duca, 49, of Hastings.

The impact caused the tractor, which was pulling a shredder, to enter into a ditch and rollover.

Duca was taken to CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney where he was declared dead.

Brown was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
