KEITH PADILLA KILLED IN TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON U.S. HIGHWAY 83 IN FRONTIER COUNTY

Frontier County, Nebraska (October 9, 2019) – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Frontier County, three miles north of Maywood, according to a local news source,

The crash was reported around 2:36 p.m. on Monday, October 7, on U.S. Highway 83.

Deputies said Keith Padilla, 28, of McCook, was driving a 2007 Ford Taurus southbound on the highway when she crossed the center line while attempting to pass a vehicle and crashed head-on into a northbound semitrailer truck.

Padilla was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck was taken to McCook Community Hospital with minor injuries.

Officials said drugs and alcohol are likely factors in the crash.

The authorities are conducting the investigation.
