KEITH BURGESS HIT, KILLED BY SEMI ON I-80 NEAR SUTHERLAND

Lincoln County, Nebraska (October 19, 2019) – A 56-year-old Florida man was killed in a pedestrian accident early Friday morning near Sutherland, according to a local news source.
The accident took place around 3:10 a.m., October 18, on Interstate 80 at mile marker 153.
NSP said Keith Burgess’ car had broken down and he was walking in the center of the eastbound right lane when a westbound semi-truck driven by Narinder Singh, 28, of California, hit him.
The semi then rolled over into the median.
Burgess was pronounced dead at the scene. His car was found a mile west of the crash scene. The vehicle was out of fuel and had a dead battery.
An investigation is underway.
