FRANCISCO ALARCON, JANICE PREISTER KILLED IN CAR CRASH ON HIGHWAY 32 IN MADISON COUNTY

Madison County, Nebraska (October 3, 2019) – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Madison County, according to a local news source.

The crash was reported shortly after 8:30 p.m. on October 2, on Highway 32, a mile east of 121 junction.

Authorities said Francisco Alarcon, 79, of Madison was driving a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer eastbound when he crossed the center line and collided with a westbound 2019 Nissan Rogue driven by Janice Preister,75, of Lindsay.

A while later, a 2017 Ford Edge drove through the scene and hit the Trailblazer.

Preister was declared dead at the scene.

Alarcon was taken to Faith Regional Health Services with life-threatening injuries where he was pronounced dead.

A passenger in the Ford was taken to Faith Regional with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash closed the highway for about three hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
