DANIEL BATENHORST INJURED IN DUMP TRUCK CRASH ON 60TH STREET IN OMAHA

Omaha, Nebraska (September 20, 2019) – A man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Omaha, according to the authorities.

The crash was reported at about 2:09 p.m. September 19, on 60th Street near Harrison Street.

Police said Di’zuan R Seavers, 24, was driving a Mack garbage truck northbound when he failed to maintain his lane on a curve and struck a pickup truck driven Daniel Batenhorst, 79.

Batenhorst was taken to the hospital with head and chest injuries.

Seavers was treated for a head laceration at the scene, but he declined transportation. Charges are pending against him.

Officers said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
