Lincoln, Nebraska (November 3, 2019) – The man who was killed Friday night in a head-on collision in Lincoln has been identified as Chance Wineberger of Lincoln, according to the police.
The fatal crash happened around 11:40 p.m. November 1, on West O Street between NW 40th and NW 48th streets.
Officials said Wineberger was driving an SUV westbound when he crossed the median and collided head-on with an eastbound pickup truck.
The impact caused both vehicles to rollover.
Wineberger had to be pulled out of his car by the firefighters. He was declared dead at the scene.
Two other people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
