ABBY YOUNG, STEPHEN YOUNG KILLED IN CAR CRASH AT HIGHWAY 370 AND 192ND STREET IN SARPY COUNTY; JESSE KNIGHT ARRESTED

Sarpy County, Nebraska (September 10, 2019) – The authorities have arrested a man in connection with the traffic collision that left two people dead and three others injured last month in Sarpy County.

Jesse Knight, 37, was arrested in connection with the crash that took place on August 7, at the intersection of Highway 370 and 192nd Street.

Authorities said Knight was driving a dump truck when he rear-ended a Toyota minivan which was stopped at a red light.

Stephen Young, 10, was pronounced dead at the scene. Abby Young, 16, was taken to the hospital where she later died. Both victims were students at Millard Public Schools.

Three other people in the van were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Knight was arrested and taken into custody for Motor Vehicle Homicide.

An investigation is underway.
