Butler County, Nebraska (October 23, 2019) – Five people were injured Tuesday morning after their vehicle was hit by a train in Butler County, according to a local news source.
The crash happened around 7:00 a.m. October 22, on Highway 92 near mile marker 420.
According to a preliminary investigation, a vehicle was heading westbound on the highway when it crashed into a northbound train.
The driver of the vehicle and their four juvenile passengers were taken to Lincoln General Hospital West with serious injuries. Three of them were then taken to Lincoln General Hospital West.
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol are investigating the crash.
