Omaha, Nebraska (September 2, 2019) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at an Omaha intersection, according to the police.
The crash was reported around 3:25 p.m. September 1, in the area of Florence Boulevard and Spencer Street.
Police said a 2006 Nissan Altima was heading eastbound on Spencer Street when it collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer which was northbound on Florence Boulevard. The impact pushed the Nissan into a yard at 1926 Spencer.
According to investigators, the SUV had the right of way, and the car ran a red light at the intersection, resulting in the collision.
The Altima driver sustained a head injury and was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center for treatment.
Another victim was also taken to the hospital after reporting aches and pains.
The crash remains under investigation.
