Scholarship Application

Harris & Associates, P.C., L.L.O is excited to announce its annual scholarship opportunity for students who plan to start school in the fall of 2024, either as pre-law undergraduates or first-year law students. The scholarship, valued at $500, aims to assist with the financial burdens of students who have been admitted to any school across the United States.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for consideration, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States.
  • The applicant must have been accepted into an undergraduate program or a law school for the fall of 2024.
  • The applicant must demonstrate academic excellence, as evidenced by a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 during their undergraduate studies.

Application Requirements:

Interested candidates must submit the following documents by September 15th, 2024:

  • A completed resume.
  • A typed essay of one to three pages on a topic of the student’s choice related to their intended area of law.
  • Official transcripts from their educational institution.
  • An acceptance letter from a U.S. school.
  • Documentation proving legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card).

Award Details:

  • The scholarship funds are designated solely for tuition and associated educational expenses.
  • A $500 check will be issued directly to the selected recipient to cover these costs.
  • The recipient must provide receipts in compliance with IRS regulations.
  • Notification of the scholarship award will be sent to the recipient around September 28, 2024.
