Omaha, Nebraska (August 27, 2019) – The man who was critically injured in a traffic collision Saturday afternoon in Omaha has died, according to the officials.

The crash happened just 2:55 p.m. August 24, near the intersection of 229th Street and West Center Road.

Deputies said Michelle Cryne was driving a Chevy Impala eastbound and was waiting to turn northbound into a driveway and had her turn signal on when the Impala was rear-ended by a pickup truck driven by Nicholas Glenning of Sarpy County.

The impact caused the pickup to roll on its side in the middle of the road.

Paramedics responded to the scene and performed CPR on Robert C. O’Brien, 29, who was a passenger in the Impala. He was then taken by ambulance to Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy where he died on Sunday, August 25.

A dog in the Impala was killed in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
