Merrick County, Nebraska (August 15, 2019) – A man was injured after he fell from a pivot system in Merrick County Wednesday, authorities said.
On Wednesday, August 14, the authorities received a report of a missing person in the rural portion of the county.
Deputies responded to the scene and a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol was able to locate the man.
Investigators determined that the man was performing routine maintenance on a pivot system when he sustaining a fall. Due to his injuries, he laid on the ground for 10-12 hours before being found.
The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.
No further details were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
