Haley Bohlen Killed in Crash with Grain Truck on Highway 74 in Clay County
Clay County, Nebraska (October 9, 2019) – The woman who was killed Monday afternoon in a traffic collision involving a grain truck in Clay County has been identified as Haley Bohlen, 31, of rural Fairfield, according to the authorities.
The crash happened around 4:10 p.m. on October 7, on Highway 74, west of Fairfield.
Deputies said Bohlen was driving an SUV westbound on the highway when she rear-ended a westbound grain truck, which was slowing down to turn into a field.
Bohlen was killed in the crash. A baby riding in the SUV was taken to Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings for treatment. The baby is recovering.
The driver of the grain truck was also taken to Mary Lanning Hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
