Lincoln, Nebraska (October 19, 2019) – A woman in her 40s was killed in an alleged hit-and-run accident Friday evening in Lincoln, police said.
The accident happened at about 8:29 p.m. October 18, at the intersection of 10th Street and South Street.
Police said the woman was crossing 10th Street when she was hit by a small dark-colored sedan.
The sedan left the scene and was last seen northbound on 10th Street.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police are looking for the sedan which should have damage to the front end.
The police are investigating the accident. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000 or CrimeStoppers at 402-475-3600.
