SHARDAE FERGUSON CRITICALLY INJURED IN HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT ON I-680 IN OMAHA

Omaha, Nebraska (October 21, 2019) – A 26-year-old woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday in Omaha, according to the police.

The accident occurred on Sunday, October 20, on Interstate 680, just south of the West Center Street exit.

According to the police, Shardae Ferguson’s car had overheated, so she pulled over on the shoulder of the interstate. When she got out of her car, she was hit by a Dodge Ram driven by David Kenney, 32.

Kenney didn’t stop after hitting Ferguson. He was followed by other citizens, and he was arrested at 126th and Pierce streets.

Ferguson was taken to the hospital with life-threatening abdominal injuries and multiple leg fractures.

Kenney is facing charges of leaving the scene of an injury accident that resulted in serious injury or death.
